Cruise Terminated In the Wake of Tragic Loss of Elderly Lady Stranded on Island

An extensive two-month voyage around the Australian Coast was terminated in the wake of the tragic passing of an elderly woman who was stranded by the vessel on a distant tropical isle.

The passenger had been trekking on Lizard Island with shipmates from the vessel, but separated from the party for a rest. The vessel left without her and returned later that day after the ship staff discovered the passenger was missing.

Chief Executive of the cruise operator announced that travelers and staff on the Coral Adventurer were told that the remainder of the journey had been terminated due to the "sad loss and earlier engine troubles".
