Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
