KPop Demon Hunters Invades Fortnite with Demon Rush Mode and New Skins

Earlier this week, Epic Games announced that a collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters would be arriving in Fortnite on Oct. 2. Now, additional information about this partnership with the popular Netflix film have been disclosed.

Demon Rush Mode: What to Expect

The HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey will face waves of demons in the time-limited Demon Rush mode, which is a spin on Fortnite's Horde Rush mode. Rumi's Empowered Sword and Zoey's protective bubble will be useful for defeating these fiends, and bonuses based on the film can be acquired between each survival round. This new mode will begin on October 2 and run through November 1, just in time for the spooky season.

Fresh Skins and Accessories

Skins, gear, and dance moves from KPop Demon Hunters will arrive in the Fortnite Shop, and gamers can finish missions from the singers to earn exclusive rewards like Mira’s X-tra Spicy Ramyeon. Like so many other characters in Fortnite, the K-pop idols have also been Lego-ized, with Lego versions of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey available.

Options for Creators

Fortnite creators will have fun with the new update as they gain access to movie-themed elements, signature gameplay items, fearsome demon enemies, and the hunter characters. As stated in the announcement, developers can design close-combat maps or remix their existing islands starting October 2.

Future Prospects

The introduction of KPop Demon Hunters in Fortnite surely won't be the final news about HUNTR/X. A follow-up film is probable, and a prequel could also be in the works.
