Tehran Declares It May Resume US Atomic Talks provided that Approached with 'Respect' and 'Respect'

Iran is ready to reinitiate nuclear discussions with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat declared solely negotiations worked, and revealed fresh requests had been made by intermediaries to restart talks with the US government. He said Iran did not have secret atomic facilities, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to access struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Difficult Path

The foreign minister is navigating a difficult route since Iran wishes not to appear to be operating from a position of weakness, and he consistently maintained that Iran had come out stronger in military terms and mentally from the coordinated strike on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Earlier Negotiations Suddenly Terminated

The previous five rounds of discussions between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Iran's enrichment centers in a 12-day war that culminated with the US president asserting the locations had been eliminated. Afterward, Western states employed their right to reinstate international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a substantial consequence.

Magic Solution Suggested

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had reached a "ideal resolution" to the enrichment issue in prior discussions, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been settled in the discussions that Washington's technical specialists could work inside Iran, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Representatives stated repeatedly they had secured an understanding with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to fall apart due to "detractors in America".

Existing Status

Iran's diplomats stated the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be reintroduced in various formats if negotiations restart.

Trump recently said he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to reopen negotiations, but in private Iranian officials state they are not yet receiving clear proposals from America either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, the Omani authorities and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been charged of inactivity in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran asserts dialogue is not part of a spectacle.

Negotiating Standpoint

In his remarks to the conference, designed to depict the US as a dominant force that exploits the idea of international law, Araghchi declared the two-week conflict showed the clash could not be resolved by combat operations. He asserted the strikes commenced with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and culminated with an unconditional call for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is convinced the first strikes by Israel were mounted with complete American awareness and coordination, making confidence difficult to restore.

Diplomacy Remains the Ultimate Resolution

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had deserted dialogue; it was the United States and the Western nations that had repeatedly attempted to impose their demands during the talks. Dialogue can still be active and continues the final answer to resolve conflicts, but its criteria, regulations and fundamentals must be adhered to."

"In case they speak to the citizens of Tehran with the tone of respect and respect, they will obtain a reply in the identical language."

Repair and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the conflict of repair and reconstruction, the foreign minister said he was certain Iran's security strengths "have significantly improved than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been reestablished. We learned numerous insights from this engagement; we have identified our own weaknesses and the vulnerabilities of the opponent."

He added: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to eliminate, remains in place. The facilities and machinery, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is important is the determination of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have grown more resilient, more integrated, and more endorsing of the government and the state in the face of this assault."
